20th Century Historical Inspirational Romance
These novels, Cater to a Whim, The Winning Heart, and Fields of Sweet Conten
were first published by Barber Publishing in the 1990s, for their new Heartsong series. I
was privileged to author four titles—what then were considered "contemporary" titles.
That gives me a chuckle now in 2024. What was once contemporary is now considered
20th century historical fiction.
Whichever way you look at it, these story plots are still fun, captivating, and
heartwarming.
I trust you will enjoy reading about headstrong, business-minded Bandy O’Sullivan
in Cater to a Whim. Amidst her attempts to trust God, she also wants Him to "cater to her

And then in The Winning Heart, there's Kassie who has been forced to leave her
beloved ranching life in Wyoming to live with her controlling older sister in a bustling
metroplex.
In Fields of Sweet Content, we meet Alecia who has been summoned to Denlin
County, OK by her recuperating sister to assist on the ranch. A respected educator from
Minneapolis,the last place she expects to find herself is in a classroom in a small country
schoolhouse.
